If a man does not love you for being yourself then he is the one with the problem. It is all about self respect and the fact that if you are single, have been single for a long time, and do have trouble getting men then you may be attracting the wrong type of man. If you be yourself then you know that when you enter into a relationship that he will grow to like and perhaps love you for you, and then you do not have the burden of taking his orders. A lot of men actually find it sexy for a woman to be independent and strong and fiery rather than a timid little petal.

It has taken a long time for women to get any form of rights. Why would anyone want to throw that all away? Women are not meant to obey orders and just be eye-candy. Women are not meant, or destined to do anything, just as men are not “meant” to do anything. There are individual differences between genders and an individual may be more obedient than another, but that does not mean that they should be of X chromosome. The most important thing is not getting a man but finding out what you are good at and what makes you happy. If you feel that you want to be obedient and sexy then by all means, be obedient and sexy, just do not do it because you think that is what will make you a better woman.

In believing and following the statement that “women should be sexy and obey their husbands” it brings back a bad recollection of déjà vu. In the past and in other cultures, such as Muslim cultures, we see that obedience is pushed and exploited. If you give someone an inch, they may take a mile. Power is not something to be toyed with.

‘Oppression of women is woven into all cultures. All known societies are patriarchies – societies which privilege men. Associating female repression with Islam is inaccurate and insulting. In some Islamic societies women are repressed to a greater degree than in some Western societies – however, the opposite is also true, and no society is free from repression. All societies have expectations (and laws) governing how women must dress and behave – all societies have some kind of punishment for breaking these expectations. In this country, for example, women who have been raped while wearing short skirts have been blamed in court for their own rape, and their attackers have gone free. UK rape conviction rates are at an all-time low of 6% because of just these attitudes. Let’s not pretend that women have achieved equality in this country yet.’

The whole point of humans forming a partnership is to form a solid foundation for life. If one benefits unfairly from the relationship the relationship is not stable and therefore the foundation is not stable and relationship will not prosper.
If the male was the only one benefiting from the relationship, what incentive does the woman have to be in the relationship? Such a man would not only be an inconsiderate husband but a bad father. He would teach his sons unfair expectations of women and he would teach his daughters to be wholly submissive.
Woman can be expected to be housewives and dedicated mothers, but in return the husband would have to work hard to bring home the bacon and also be a good role model to any children. This is mutually beneficial, but not if the woman were expected to be sexy and obey their man’s every command.
