DEMOCRACY IS MORE THEORETICAL, PRACTICALLY IT SPELLS DISASTER
in today's world where USA spreading democracy all over the world some people say that democracy is jst a theoretical part now, practically it does not exist but if it doesn't exist then why they call it as a democratic country....does democracy exist now...??
DEMOCRACY IS MORE THEORETICAL, PRACTICALLY IT SPELLS DISASTER
Yes, because... democracy still exist....
v have right to vote...v have other rights like human right...jst bcoz of democracy....v can protest for our demand....evn v can stand for elections...these all r sighns of democracy.
DEMOCRACY IS MORE THEORETICAL, PRACTICALLY IT SPELLS DISASTER
No, because... Democracy does not spell disaster
The United States is not a pure Democracy. It is to big to be a Democracy and to many of the people are to ill informed to be good voters. The United States is actually a Democratic Republic. So in all actuality the U.S., in theory, is based on the Democratic ideals, but the framers of the constitution realized that it would be a disaster to be a pure Democracy. The U.S. does not go to countries to make them democratic, they go to other countries to stop mass killings and civil rights violations, then they let those that informed them that they have the will to lead in a civil rights based fashion take over.
While I agree with the first part of the statement in the title that often democracy in democratic states is often more theoretical than real I am much less sure about the second. Why should democracy if implemented spell disaster. Countries that are democracies today do not seem to face disaster because, moreover if we limit it to countries that are purer democracies that have direct democracy then they tend to be more stable such as Switzerland rather than less.
Vote on this point: Democracy does not spell disaster

DEMOCRACY IS MORE THEORETICAL, PRACTICALLY IT SPELLS DISASTER
No, because... Prevent Uprisings
Instead of uprising people tend to vote for another person allowing lesser bloodshed if the need to change governments occur. The freedom of press and countless other humanitarian struggles could be heard out. We would not be like China
Point 1. democracy still exist....

Pardon, where did I say the US was a democracy? This ignores my point which the counterpoint should be attacking and it ignores the overall question of the debate because the actual US system does not have to be a democracy in order for the United States to push democracy onto other states.
Point 2. Prevent Uprisings
