FOR ONE FEMALES ARE SMARTER THAN BOYS. THEY ARE ABLE TO SIT IN CLASS AND LISTEN TO WHAT THE TEACHER SAYS THATS WHY THEY ARE BETTER AT SCIENCE.

Cultures throughout history have prescribed gender roles for both males and females. In some cases these are positive, and in other cases they are negative. For instance, boys are given trucks and electronics to play with teaching them those things which allow them to have a better chance at success in the "real-world". Girls on the other hand are given dolls and the culturally disguised monster the Easybake Oven.

Females are raised from birth to be dutiful mothers and wives, to stay at home raising their children, and to put everyone else above their own needs and personal desires. Males are raised the complete opposite and are taught to aim for success regaurdless of who you need to step on to gain such goals and aspirations.

Now, lets fast forward to adolence and first jobs. Because of the way males and females are raised, when they begin to enter the workforce they have prescribed expectations set by the culture. Girls are expected to do as they are told and the boys well, they are supposed to take charge and lead.

Now, what happens if say a female tries to take charge? She is labeled as a bitch, a freak, an oddball amoung females and in a society dominated by males all of these are true. And for these reasons the myth that females are unequal endures for centuries and throughout all cultures in the ancient and even near past. However, this is rapidly becoming no longer the case I am proud to say ladies.

In 30 years the University graduate rate has gone from ~10% females to 60% females world-wide. Our roles in politcs, the environment, and business continue to grow rivaling our male counterparts while female students continue to flourish in the generally regaurded "soft skills" of communication which are regaurded as more vital than "hard skills" like math to employers.

The invidivudals who mentioned famous males in the past are off the mark. They have merely listed individuals who had the education women in those times were denied; the only way to fairly assess the sexes is compare them under a field where both sexes are given near equal opportunities. And in a world, the 21st century, where women are still reguarded as the weaker sex I have one single question. Why do we occupy a larger portion of intellectuals and emerging leaders than males?

Its time to enter the 21st century boys. You may be stronger, physically faster, and able to do physical things that women could never do. However, when women have the control in any relationship, ignoreing males who use physical brute force to subdue their mates (which I think we can all agree proves the complete opposite of them being "superior" by any means). In thirty years females are closed a gap which in past days was believed to be so large it had to be the result of males being a superior sex.

Business is a closed environment to women still. Therefore, it is the result of a cultural bias not a gender bias. The only field therefore where true comparisan between which sex is superior is in the field of intelligance which branches out into all other fields includeing business smarts and decisions. To this I restate my eariler statistic from Statistics Canada, that women hold a 60% to male 40% gradation rate from univiersites across the nation and the world.

Now, whether this is true intellect I shall now briefly leave open to debate. However, I wish to add one final thing to consider: Regaurdless of intellectual capacity and whether or not males or females might be stronger the fact remains that females do graduate from universities more often. This means that either females are biologically smarter, cultural trends in the area of gender has shifted giving females a greater sense of determination and self-esteem, or is it simply our biological personalities as women which cause us to strive for success more than males in a new era and century?

In conclusion, males did dominate the sexual arena in the past. Although, the gap is rapidly closeing and women are showing more and more what they can accomplish with encouragement. In the area of intellect we have a higher graduation (and GPA) rate at the university level, and we also have a higher rate of high school graduation proving either our superior intellects or our superior dedicate take your pick. We control relationships; by this I mean if a women wishes to have a family she can at will whereas if a male does he must first find a female who consents to choosing him as her mate.

Biological or cultural? I remain undecided. Although the facts do remain that females hold the advantage in the only two areas in which fair comparisan can be made ignoreing the obvious biological differances "Girls are better because they can have babies…" and "Boys are better because they are phsically stronger and taller…" and debates like these. What the future will hold? Who knows, although I am certian that with encouragement and determination females in the near and distance future will begin to surpass the greatest minds in history, male or not, and earn a rightful postition as equals or even the superior sex because it is clearly not the case that we are the weaker sex after having disclosed all these debates.

Females are just smarter than boys in every way. They get better examination results at school. They have emotional as well as academic intellegence and are far superior to men at networking, interacting with people and negotiating.

I’d love for the esteemed male who wrote "Also, in schools where girls get higher grades, it could be because they suck up to the teacher or because the teacher just likes girls better than boys. As stated above, females actually perform better then males by nearly 10% in a university setting. That is from the Statistics Canada website, and the American Institute of Higher Learning. Girls perform better for a variety of reasons, mostly due to problems in education system which favour our style of learning so I don’t consider it a pro or con for grades.

However, females do have more to deal with at school beyond grades than males. Specifically in high school, as was also mentioned by the esteemed unknown male to the right, who claimed girls only achieve through sucking up. News flash: Sexisim occures more oftenly against, as opposed to for females, so "because the teacher just likes girls better than boys" kind of proves our point better I would imagine?

Secondly, in terms to the female distraction comment I will also agree as it has been documented by psychologists that for females ages 10-17 is the more stressful. For males it is ages 8-15. High school is typically 14-18 so females cover a wider area and therefore have more stress beyond school.

Lastly, in terms of the question "females are better students" we are in the sense that we are superior in some areas and in others we are not. Males are superior in some areas and in others they are not. It balances out quite nicely with the soft skills favouring females, and hard skills favouring males. That said in terms of examinations, which in all forms MC, SA, LA favour female learning styles through reading or writing. This is an impossible question to answer therefore, however it is one of the few which cannot be determined by such methods.

yes I am a boy and I believe this . But that doesn’t actually means that they are interested on that subject . For a example see kernel programming . It was very fair that if I say like this . Kernel programmers are most of interested by the boys . Because the boys know how to fix something as well as how to break something( not about breaking the relationships talking about machines , computers and toys ). But the girls are not likes to loos the challenge of that . So they also score good marks on that subjects .
